EVILDEAD To Re-Release Their Cult Albums Annihilation Of Civilization + The Underworld In March

EvilDead set to reissue remastered versions of Annihilation Of Civilization and The Underworld featuring extra material.

American thrash metal band EvilDead is preparing to reissue two of their cult albums, Annihilation Of Civilization and The Underworld, on March 27. These re-releases will be available across CD, vinyl, and digital formats, including bonus tracks that were not part of the original releases from 1989 and 1991.

The albums have been carefully remastered by Bill Metoyer, known for his work with Slayer and Armored Saint. These early recordings helped establish the band’s signature sound, which combines aggressive thrash metal with socially and politically charged lyrics, as well as horror and apocalyptic themes.

Juan Garcia, guitarist and founding member of EvilDead, reflected on the significance of the albums and the challenges faced during the "late ’80s and early ’90s," a period that shaped their career. Despite shifts in the music scene, such as the rise of grunge, EvilDead remained committed to their thrash roots. The band compiled and remastered the albums with care, responding to longtime fan requests for their re-release.

The reissues will be distributed worldwide through Steamhammer, including exclusive vinyl editions and merchandise bundles available through the Steamhammer shop. Fans can expect both classic tracks and previously unreleased live and bonus material, making this a significant release for supporters of the band’s legacy.
