Canadian thrash metal band Wreck-Defy has launched their latest single titled "Under The Sun," accompanied by an official lyric video. This release serves as a preview for their forthcoming album, Dissecting The Leech.

Dissecting The Leech, scheduled for release on February 20 through Massacre Records, offers 48 minutes of thrash metal that blends classic influences with contemporary energy. The album is available in multiple formats including CD Digipak, limited splatter vinyl, and digital versions.
The record was produced by Matt Hanchuck and Juan Urteaga, with the latter handling mixing and mastering at Trident Studios. The lineup features vocalist Greg Wags Wagner, guitarist Matt Hanchuck, bassist Greg Christian (ex-Testament), and drummer David Allan.
The album also includes contributions from various notable metal musicians such as Chris Poland and Stu Block. Its thematic content addresses issues like war, trauma, corruption, and personal struggle, delivering a narrative rich in resilience and defiance.
