STONE SOUR Guitarist JOSH RAND's THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT To Release Full-Length Album In 2026

THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT, featuring Josh Rand and Casandra Carson, will debut a full album in 2026 after extensive work on their music.

THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT, a collaboration between STONE SOUR guitarist Josh Rand and PARALANDRA vocalist Casandra Carson, plans to release a full-length album in early to mid-2026. The project initially intended to issue two EPs but shifted direction during the process.

Carson mentioned that the duo has been refining songs for over three years, continuously recording and mixing to perfect their sound. Recent recordings follow Rand's recovery from back surgery, which had paused their work for more than a year.

The project debuted live in April 2022 and previously released a four-song cover EP featuring tracks from Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax. THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT also supported tours for Alice In Chains, Breaking Benjamin, and Bush earlier that year.

Rand describes THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT as a creative outlet allowing him to revisit his musical roots with the perspective of his experience, blending classic metal influences with modern heavy sounds. The band previously released a self-titled EP in 2021 with notable playlist features for their single "The Nothingness."

Carson balances her commitments between PARALANDRA, which operates organically with in-person rehearsals, and THE L.I.F.E. PROJECT, which follows a more remote and segmented production approach involving exchanging tracks digitally.
