The Gauntlet: Moonspell Metal News

MOONSPELL Set To Record New Album

Moonspell MOONSPELL frontman Fernando Ribeiro has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"We are in train of taking real important decisions in our life and carreer as a band and the next update should be a vast one with the definitive news about the 'Lunar Still' DVD final contents and release date; the new album approach with the title revealed as well as our label decision and the unavoidable new dates, plans and words from the lunar quarter.

"As for now the Halloween show is taking shape, I guess we will be able as well to announce an extra date in Portugal before the end of October. Pre-production of the new record starts 3rd of October with Waldemar Sorychta [LACUNA COIL, TIAMAT, GRIP INC.] at Inferno Studios, Portugal and Woodhouse Studios in Germany is booked from the 3rd to the 27th of November for the final recordings and mixing. A studio diary will keep you posted on the new site.

"In the meanwhile we are already booking dates for 2006 in Morrocco, Russia, Portugal and Spain. They will be confirmed in due time.

"Until then, believe the hype!"

The story line of ex-Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider's 1998 horror movie, Strangeland, was based on the track "Horror Teria (The Beginning)," off Twisted Sister's 1984 release Stay Hungry.
