System Of A Down ready for OzzFest

System Of A Down plan a lengthy hiatus after completing their run on this summer's Ozzfest, but that doesn't mean the group isn't looking forward to co-headlining the annual heavy rock festival. Drummer John Dolmayan told us that he and his bandmates expect to enjoy themselves: "Well, it should be a lot of fun. They usually are. It's kind of like, we call it, like, 'rock and roll summer camp.' It's gonna be good to be out there and it'll probably be a lot of the same crew members that have been on it. So for us it's always a good time."
Guitarist Daron Malakian recently said that System Of A Down would take a long break after Ozzfest and work on separate projects. He added that the group wasn't breaking up, but that "it's going to be a little while before we go out again."
The guitarist is forming a new band called Scars On Broadway and plans to work on its debut album this fall. Malakian told Billboard that bassist Shavo Odadjian is likely to be part of the group.
Odadjian is also planning to collaborate musically with the Wu-Tang Clan.
Ozzfest kicks off in Seattle on June 29th and will wrap up on August 13th in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The latest single from System Of A Down's Hypnotize album is "Kill Rock 'N' Roll."
