The Gauntlet: Saliva Metal News

Saliva Guitarist Quits Again, 4 Days After Quiting the 1st Time, 1 Day After Retracting

Saliva Guitarist Chris Dabaldo has once again announced his departure from SALIVA. After posting a message on the group's web site over the weekend declaring his decision to leave the band, Dabaldo retracted the statement, claiming that the group are "working through" their issues and are planning on recording a new album later in the year. However, in his latest posting on the band's web site, Dabaldo writes, "I last said I would attempt to work things out with the band and would let you know how things went. After talking with members and management, I am now officially reporting that I am in fact gonna go my seperate way. I wish all the remaining band members the best of luck and fortune. It was great while it lasted, and I hope they have success in the future. Thank you FANS, Island DefJam, Indegoot, Rondor, Union Int., William Morris, 'Uncle Larry', and Nick Ferrara. Thank you fans!! I will miss you, until next time."

Metallica's first album was originally called Metal Up Your Ass. When record distributors refused to release an album with an "obscene" title, the title was changed to Kill 'Em All in reference to the distributors.
