Slipknot Guitarist Breaks Wrist

Slipknot SLIPKNOT guitarist Jim Root will sit out the early part of the band's "Subliminal Verses Tour: The Final Volume" after breaking his wrist a couple of days prior to the tour's kick-off on Friday, October 14 in Cincinnati, Ohio. At last night's (Oct. 15) show in Grand Rapids, MI, SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor explained the reason for Root's absence before adding, "We had two options, so we have decided to go on playing without Jim... because there is no fucking way we are going to cancel the show!"

According to one attendee, SLIPKNOT, minus one, again proved they are one of the greatest live acts ever, ripping through classics like "Spit It Out", "Disasterpieces", "People=Shit", and "The Blister Exists". No details were given on when Root would return.
