you people saying they've sold out - coreys a hypocrite, who nominates the bands!?! NOT the bands themselves, if you were in a fucking band who've worked hard to get to where slipknot are, and got nominated for an award you wouldn't fucking ignore it would you!! its acknowledging what slipknot have achieved which whether you like them or not it a lot, for band who didnt get manufactured in LA or the usual places, they haven't sold out they're popular still, even more so probably than they've ever been slipknot make music for themselves 1st and foremost then the fans if their music gets nominated then so what! metallica always get nominated have they sold out!?! - just coz a band get nominated for an award dont make em sold out, you wouldn't say this if it was the metal hammer awards! different story then isn't it!!

Slipknot have just been blamed of a "satanic" attack in a small town called Krugersdorp in South Africa.
Apparently the dude came to school as a Ninja (whats that got to do with satanism) and weilded a Sword and sliced one guys throat open killing him and injured 3 others. He said Satan told him to do it. Oh and apparently his face was painted like Slipknot....honest can some one please grow up and stop blaming music!

give me a break slipknot its a new metal band that was a matter of time to move from underground to commercial and for the guy who told slipnot is ruined let me tell you something your the hipocrite because before when they release slipkno and IOWA you were there fan "1" but know that they have a MTV nomination they are soldout yeah i know MTV sucks but that doesnt mean that slipknot sucks it only means that more people are begining to like slipknot and still this new album looks very good and what you expect that slipknot will always be a underground band hell no since ozzfest everyone know that will be a mather of time that slipknot will be a big hit that is today so give me A BREAK!!!!!!!

MTV has just announced that Slipknot has been nominated for a MTV VMA. The band was nominated in the "Best Rock Video" category for their "Psychosocial" video off the album All Hope Is Gone. The album will be released on Aug. 26 via Roadrunner Records. Other artists vying for this year’s “Best Rock Video” are Paramore, Linkin’ Park, Foo Fighters and Fall Out Boy.
