that's right stone sour was around 2 years b 4 slipknot... they were put together to get out the anger of kids and themselves... the anger in them must fade away at some point... they didn't not sell out.... they just got most of there anger out... i love slipknot they kept to there word so far.... and im pretty sure they will never sell out... they love the fans too much.... stone sour was the other end of the feeling in Cory... the sadness not the anger.... the song psychosocial is about that.... the anger fades somewhere but no matter what they do... there protrude as angry adolescence supposed to be pure evil.. and thats not what the point was

Just because Cory is in Stone Sour there is bound to be naysayers. I didn't enjoy all of what I heard in the video. Slipknot is far from dead, just broad ranged metal. The only band I know to have sold out is Metallica. Every album after "Justice" sucked. Not one good track written since 1988. Slipknot might not record a full album of straight brutal music but they do ALWAYS have an out numbering amount of brutal tracks to melodic. It's diverse, not seeling out or becomeing anything less than what they have been. Seee ya at the mayhem 7/30/2008.

This is utter shit. I'm sorry slipknot, but adding some boy-band soundin vocals and cheesy guitar solos to your simple one/two note riffs and garbage can batting doesn't do much to improve your music, in fact it destroys anything i used to like about it. and how could anyone compare this to opeth?! they're actually good musicians!

WOW! From what I recall from the self titled album, and IOWA, there were CLEAN VOCALS!, just like now!, maybe a different melody, but not very different than now, Coreys vox on vol 3 were kind of wierd, his screams now sound more like they did on IOWA. Not like stonesour at all, at all.. at all. none. just cut it out. please. thank you. learn to music.
