METALLICA confirms Rick Rubin as producer
Metallica has formerly announced that producer Rick Rubin is on board for the band's next studio recording via a post on their official web site www.metallica.com.
Rubin has made a name for himself producing acts such as Beastie Boys, Slayer and System Of A Down and his presence on the record virtually guarantees that the end product will be heavy to the nth degree.
The noticably excited Metallica mouthpiece Lars Ulrich had the following to say:
"Since this Rick dude is new to all of this, we thought it would be a nice gesture to help break him into the music business by asking him to produce our next record. We're very happy he said yes! In other words, we are psyched to share with you that Rick Rubin is producing the next Metallica album! FUCK YEAH!"
