New troubles for Rammstein with the German censors
New troubles have arisen for German rock band Rammstein. German Family Ministry authorities will not allow the band to perform any songs that have been indexed in Dortmund's Westphalia Hall. Furthermore, the minisrty will demand each band member sign a "written explanation before the concerts that the indexed songs are not played." If this is violated, they will be slapped with a $10,000 EU fine. Public Order director Ortwin Schafer also stated that the Youth Protection Act will be put into force in conjunction with the police and "fans under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian of a person to attend the concert. Fans without a parent or guardian in attendance will be sent home."
The concerts are both sold out, each with over 10,000 fans. When organizers tried to downplay the situation: "We have received no request of the public order Dortmund", says Silvia Pape of "Concert Team NRW".
However, it had already been contact by telephone. Pape: "Once we have something in writing, we will forward it on to the management and the band. The final decision lies with the guys. "
Rammstein released Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da in October and recently released the video for the censored song "Ich Tu Dir Weh."
