According to Spotify Heavy Metal Fans are the Most Loyal Globally by a Pretty Wide Margin.

Not only are we the most loyal but if you look at the global chart we practically blow away the next genre. The lovable cute Pop, which is something I drink, although many would argue.

At first blush, I was proud but not surprised as many were. All metalheads, headbangers, mettalists, or whatever you want to call them are loyal to an extreme level. There is no large group of "casual" metal fans. The vast majority of metal fans are in it for keeps. And its not just music but a way of life. Headbangers share a camaraderie that is nothing like any other music or dare I say art form in general.

Just go to any show, The black t-shirts show up in force and enthusiastically rock with the band in more of cheering fashion than any other music.

Always on the tip of the tongue at metal shows as your thrusting your devils horns and screaming is "Metal Rules The World" and you feel like not only is it art but a cause.
