The Gauntlet: Nine Inch Nails Metal News

Trent Reznor Continues To Battle Sore Throat, Cancels Another Gig

Nine Inch Nails Trent Reznor scrapped Nine Inch Nails' Friday night show in Massachusetts as he continues to recover from a sore throat.

Reznor pulled a show in Minnesota earlier in the week and his representative released a statement on Friday, explaining the rocker was still ill.

The statement reads, "We regret to announce that due to illness, the Worcester show originally scheduled for Friday at the DCU Center has been rescheduled for November 9th.

"The band is sincerely sorry for the last minute announcement, but unfortunately Trent's recurring throat ailment has left him unable to perform."

Reznor adds, "I just want to personally say how sorry I am to have to do this. I never take postponing a show lightly and if there were any possible way I could pull this off I would.

"This is a very frustrating and maddening situation for me and I appreciate your understanding. I'll make it up to you."

Slayer's 1986 thrash metal classic, Reign in Blood, was originally to be distributed by CBS. When the label refused to do so (citing the graphic nature of the material), Rick Rubin and his label, Def American, stepped in.
