The Gauntlet: Nine Inch Nails Metal News

Trent Reznor Encourages Music Pirating

Nine Inch Nails Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has hit out at greedy record bosses charging "rip-off" prices for CDs - encouraging fans to steal his music from the internet.

In a tirade posted on YouTube, Trent asks fans at a gig in Sydney, Australia, if prices had reduced since the last time he was there.

After a chorus of "no" was heard, Trent told the audience to illegally download his music and pass it on to friends until the label stops "ripping people off."

Whacked-out rockers Mr. Bungle took their name from a corny children's educational film from the '60s about bad manners that was made popular in Pee Wee Herman's 1981 cable TV special, The Pee Wee Herman Show.
