Martyr Announces New Bassist

Martyr (2011) Jeffrey Bryan Rijnsburger has been announced as the new bassist for Dutch metal legends MARTYR. After the departure of former bass player Toine van der Linden, due to personal circumstances, Martyr immediately set focus on finding a replacement and succeeded within two weeks when Jeffrey blew them away at his first audition for the band. Martyr is pleased to have found the perfect man for the job.

But Jeffrey is not just the new bass player, he is a new member who fit the shoes of representing Martyr on all levels. Bringing the power, strength and skills to the classic 80’s Martyr songs, as well as the current and future Martyr songs, Jeffrey is taking the ambition to the next level. An ambition that will be noticed after recording a new Martyr album end 2013, early 2014 with an expected release later in 2014.

Jeffrey's first live appearance will be at the famous Tattoo Fest 2013, on August 24th in Nijverdal, Netherlands, followed by more festivals over Europe.

"Martyr would like to thank Toine for the wonderful years and everyone who took part in the auditions and helped us out!"
