Prominent metal bands gather for Masters Of Horror soundtrack

Mudvayne With a soundtrack that features some of the hottest bands in metal, the Showtime series Masters Of Horror is likely to resound deeply with metal fans this season.

Highly-touted horror directors were gathered for the series including Dario Argento (Suspiria), John Carpenter (Halloween), Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator),Don Coscarelli (Phantasm, Bubba Ho-tep), Joe Dante (The Howling), John Landis (An American Werewolf in London), Mick Garris (The Stand, Riding the Bullet), Larry Cohen (It's Alive), Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist), William Malone (FearDotCom, House on Haunted Hill), Lucky McKee (May), and Takashi Miike (Audition, Ichi The Killer).

Immortal Records will launch a two-disc set on October 18th as the soundtrack to the series. Including appearances from notable artists such as Mudvayne, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Buckethead featuring Serj Tankian of System of a Down, Chiodos, Thursday, Shadows Fall, Andrew WK, Norma Jean, and more, the comprehensive collection is sure to please all who are into various forms of metal.
