Gibson Amphitheater To Close

Sad to announce, but The Gibson Amphitheater will be closing for good at the end of the Summer. Although not yet announced, Live Nation will not be having it's contract renewed with the Gibson after September. It isn't a matter of them pulling out of the venue, but Universal Studios plan to demolish the venue entirely. Following the success of the Orlando Universal Studios attraction Harry Potter, the Hollywood studios is planning to build their own. They need room and the Gibson sits on some prime real estate. An official announcement will be made by the studio and Live Nation soon I suppose.
