Dave Mustaine Begins To Back Pedal Following Outrage Of Supporting A Sexist Racist Homophobe For President

Megadeth's Dave Mustaine has said some really stupid shit over the last ten years...coincidentally the same time he's been clean and sober. Usually Dave's comments are just laughed off as Dave being Dave. But yesterday, Mustaine struck a nerve by throwing his support behind President ~~bigot~~ GOP Candidate Rick Santorum. Mustaine stated "You know, I think Santorum has some presidential qualities, and I'm hoping that if it does come down to it, we'll see a Republican in the White House... and that it's Rick Santorum."

But today is a different day and as Mustaine has learned many times, there are no erasers on the internet. Mustaine now says "Contrary to how some people have interpreted my words, I have not endorsed any presidential candidate. What I did say was that I hope to see a Republican in the White House. I've seen good qualities in all the candidates but by no means have made my choice yet. I respect the fact that Santorum took time off from his campaign to be with his sick daughter, but I never used the word 'endorse.'"

True, Mustaine never said "I endorse Rick Santorum", but you did state you hope to see him in the White House. So what is the difference really? Only the mind of Dave knows.
