Megadeth MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has issued the following update:

"Far and wide, thank you all for you fabulous support at the concerts and other various get-togethers. We wrapped up 2007 in one of the warmest and kindest countries to host heavy metal concerts.

"I look forward to a long relationship with the Aussies, if not with just Gigantour, but definitely MEGADETH too.

"I enjoyed seeing some of the last runs airport friends, except hair-toucher.

"I am going to reflect on a very up-and-down year over the holidays and get myself prepare to come back even stronger next year.

"There will be updates and a new number to call me on soon, so stay tuned.

"Until we speak again, thanks to BRING ME THE HORIZON, LACUNA COIL, DEVILDRIVER and STATIC-X.

"It is time to try to sleep for three hours and then shower and head for home. Wish us all safe travels."

Metallica's first album was originally called Metal Up Your Ass. When record distributors refused to release an album with an "obscene" title, the title was changed to Kill 'Em All in reference to the distributors.
