ECLIPSE RECORDS Signs THE FAIL SAFE
Spokane, WA's THE FAIL SAFE PROJECT has signed a worldwide, exclusive deal with Eclipse Records. Guitarist George Silva commented: "We had this cool EP that was getting a great response from people, but it only had four songs on it. We began shopping it to different labels and most of the responses asked to hear more material, so we eventually went back and began laying down a few more tracks. After a while we kind of just decided to finish up a full 13 track album and release it independently ourselves. One day, just out of the blue – Chris Poland from Eclipse Records called me to follow up on a statement he sent detailing royalties due from back when I was in FIVE FOOT THICK. We got talking, and he was real interested in my new band, so I sent him the EP and he offered us a deal within a couple weeks!”
Label President Chris Poland commented: “I was real happy to hear George was still playing, and had a new band. He was a pleasure to work with back when I had signed Five Foot Thick, so naturally I was interested. When I heard The Fail Safe Project, I was totally blown away. While the band is quite different from FFT, they still have that heavy guitar edge I look for along with a fresh, different sound that can help distinguish them from the masses.”
Lead vocalist Jimmy Nuge also commented: "We are humbled and excited by this next step in our career, and look forward to this partnership".
The Failsafe Project is currently at Rainbow Trout Studios (Spokane, WA), working on completing their debut self-titled album (which will contain thirteen brand new songs of original music), and is expected to be released in the Spring/Summer of 2013.
