The Gauntlet: Machine Head Metal News

Machine Head Apologize For 'Fields Of Rock' Cancellation

Machine Head Machine Head was forced to miss its scheduled appearance at the 2007 edition of the Fields of Rock festival, which is taking place June 16-17 at the Evenemententerrein Walibi World in Biddinghuizen, Holland. The group has issued the following statement regarding the matter:

"Machine Head offers their sincerest apologies for missing their scheduled performance today [June 16] at Fields of Rock. Unfortunately, a pipe in the engine of their bus cracked and left the band stranded in Germany for hours until it could be repaired. The band made every effort to expedite the repairs, and even attempted to charter another bus in the hopes that they could still make it in time. Unfortunately, nothing could have gotten them there in time for their performance. Again, please accept Machine Head's sincerest apologies, and trust that the band are as pissed as you are that they weren't able to play."

Along the lines of Billy Corgan's 1999 collaboration with Mike Garson on the score for the religious horror film Stigmata, the following year Korn's Jonathan Davis collaborated with composer Richard Gibbs on the score for the film adaptation of Anne Rices's novel Queen of the Damned.
