To honor Earth Day 2008, Testament will be donating a portion of the proceeds from pre-order sales for The Formation of Damnation to Greenpeace. Testament was one of the first environment-conscious metal bands, releasing Greenhouse Effect on 1989s Practice What You Preach, which warned of the damage being done to our planet from the greenhouse effect.
