LAMNDMINE MARATHON Added To Metallica Festival

Landmine Marathon Phoenix grinders LANDMINE MARATHON -- who now feature Raul Varela (Impaled, ex-Ghoul) on drums -- have been confirmed to perform at Metallica's inaugural Orion Music + More Festival in Atlantic City, N.J. in June. There, they will play the Damage Inc. Stage alongside Sepultura, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Tusk, Red Fang and others, in addition to the festival's previously announced performers (which include The Sword, Liturgy and Metallica themselves, among others).

Says guitarist Ryan Butler, "We are extremely excited and honored to have been handpicked to play the Orion Music + More Festival. I, personally, have been an extreme fan of Metallica since the early '80s, and to be acknowledged by them is probably one of the biggest highlights of my life, not to mention being able to be part of such an interesting and diverse lineup like what they have put together (and to see them play Ride The Lightning!). We truly can't wait to be a part of Orion Fest."

The group is currently planning additional tour dates around the festival, which will be the group's first national tour since supporting Warbringer last fall. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.
