Is FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Singer "Crazy?"
With the band's Firm Music debut, "The Way Of The Fist," hitting shelves this past Tuesday, many metalheads might wonder what exactly fuels the madness behind the band’s superbly intense sonic personality of Five Finger Death Punch. While each of the members of the group display commanding, yet unique personalities, it’s the semi-psychotic state of mind presented in the lyrics and performance of the band’s energetic lead vocalist, Ivan Moody, that pushes the group’s sound completely over the edge.
Zoltan Bathory, the band's shredding guitarist can hardly conceal his joy when talking about the insane man out front that he had been searching for. "He's just fucking crazy. If I was a doctor, I’d have to give something to him" Bathory says with a grin. “I’m reading his lyrics and thinking, there is a fine line between a mental patient and a genius. There is that fine line, he’s walking that. He goes out on stage and he turns into some kind of monster. Our song, ‘Meet The Monster,’ that’s what that song is about. Him. Even when he walks off the stage, he’s still insane.”
Five Finger Death Punch continues inciting moshpits at Family Values 2007 with an appearance in Buffalo, New York this Friday, August 3rd.
