The Gauntlet: Five Finger Death Punch Metal News

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Singer Puts MOTOGRATER In The Past

Five Finger Death Punch Ivan Moody, lead singer for Five Finger Death Punch wouldn’t settle for anything less than what he had coming to him when deciding on his next project after Motograter. The wild, energy-filled singer wanted commitment and demanded success.

“Unlike a lot of bands, we never argue artistically over anything” said Moody. “When we argue, it’s more of a social thing. There’s chemistry there.” I’m going to speak for myself. Coming back from Motograter, I decided if there was any way I was going to get back into the music industry, before I even put a foot in a studio, I decided it was going to be better than Motograter, bigger than Motograter; with or without an image. I was going to be in a band of guys that I could get onstage with for the next ten years of my life and shred every person in front of us. So the intensity comes from the fact that it has to be better than what I did before, thank you.”

The debut album from Five Finger Death Punch, “Way Of The Fist” hits stores tomorrow, July 31st.
