The Gauntlet: Underoath Metal News

Spitfire hit the road with Underoath

Underoath "When Spitfire are on, they are on." is how Decibel feels about the new release by Spitfire. After 4 years of absence, Spitfire released their new album with new material on Goodfellow Records titled, "Self Help" Under the Volcano says, "The song structure have a much darker and melodic base than the core bands, and there are even parts that have a doomy feel. I'm thoroughly impressed by the album." With members of Norma Jean and former members of Scarlet, Spitfire has become a band not to be dismissed. With a hybrid of sounds from Metal, Hardcore, to Math-Metal, Spitfire continues to set the bar for loud music.

Supporting the material on the new album, Spitfire is set to do select dates for the upcoming Underoath, Poison the Well, and As Cities Burn tour as well as play a few select festivals.

Kirk Hammett of Metallica was vacationing in Cabo San Lucas and walked into Cabo Wabo while the Mexican band Vitamin T was playing a cover of 'Until It Sleeps'. Hammett walked over and grabbed a guitar and jammed along with the band.
