OPERA IX Issue Album Update

Italian black metallers OPERA IX will release their first album in seven years via Agonia Records on January 24th, 2012 in Europe. The album will be released in North America on February 28th.

Strix Maledictae In Aeternum has been described as, "a great opera dedicated to the Dark Ages of Medieval Witchcraft", and will be released on digipack CD / 12" double LP.

The album was recorded at Occultum studios, owned by guitarist Ossian. It was mastered at Necromorbus Studios. A promotional video for the song 'Mandragora' can be seen below:
