A U.S. judge has dismissed a musician's claim Kid Rock copied a hit track from him. Troy Landry alleged the rap/rocker's song "Somebody's Gotta Feel This" was a rip-off of tunes he released on a 1994 album.
But U.S. District Judge Mary Ann Vial Lemmon has ruled in favour of Kid Rock, stating, "The works are not so strikingly or substantially similar as to preclude independent creation. A layman would not view the works as substantially similar."
