Iron Maiden's ebay auction for MS a success
As previously reported on The Gauntlet, Iron Maiden held an ebay auction to benefit the Clive Burr MS fund. Iron Maiden's official website posted the following results:
"The Special Charity Ebay Auction of Dave's signed Guitar, signed T Shirts and Tour Programmes has raised a grand total of ?8044 which is fantastic.
Winners of the auctions were from all around the world.
The winner of the Dave Murray's signed guitar came from the USA and won with a bid of ?4400. On learning he was the winning bidder he said - 'Dave Murray has been my guitar hero since I learned what music was all about. I am turning 34 on December 30th. To acquire such a treasure at this point in my life is very special to me. I fully comprehend the magnitude of owning a guitar that was used passionately by one of the greatest.'
Well done to all the winners and to everyone who placed bids. The money raised all goes to Clive's MS Fund where it is used to help with his treatment, aid his mobility and is very important. A big THANK YOU you from Iron Maiden and Management for all who participated."
Clive Burr is the former drummer of Iron Maiden.
