ALESTORM Vocalist Comments On New Album And Tour

The Gauntlet recently caught up with pirate-themed ALESTORM frontman Chris Bowes. With the bands third studio album, Back Through Time, due out June 14 via Napalm Records, we wanted to know why fans should rush out and buy this one. Chris took another gulp of his Singapore Sling cocktail and stated "I don't care. Go out and download it. It is not like we are going to go gold or anything. As long as the fans come to our shows and show their boobies, that is all that matters."

Immediately knowing the devastating impact that his comment might have, Chris quickly revised his statement "If you are a guy, please keep your boobies under your shirt. I don't want to see the guys. Alestorm does bring in the ladies."

Chris Bowes had the following to say about the imminent North American invasion: "This summer we'll be hitting the States and Canada - and even fuckin' Mexico! - on a big, mad North American tour supporting Kamelot. I hope to see a bunch of you crazy motherfuckers down the front with pints of ale in your hands, rocking out proper pirate-style. Retarded hats and eyepatches are optional!"

Regarding the press reaction to Back Through Time, released in North America last week by Napalm Records, Bowes had the following to say: "Every review I've seen in English says we suck! But from what Google Translate tells me, the Germans seem to love it, and they know metal better than anyone else in the world. So, you should all believe them and buy the fuck out of our album. It's the soundtrack to every badass pirate party - you can quote me on that if you want."
