Morbid Angel enter the studio

Season Of Mist and World Management have announced that legendary Florida black metal masters MORBID ANGEL entered the studio on June 22nd to begin the recording of their ninth full-length. Recording commenced at Mana Studios, St. Petersburg, Florida with HATE ETERNAL's Erik Rutan (CANNIBAL CORPSE, GOATWHORE) engineering the current sessions.
The new album will be the band's first to be recorded without long-time drummer Pedro "Pete" Sandoval who underwent back surgery recently for a deteriorating disc. Tim Yeung (DIVINE HERESY, ALL THAT REMAINS, NILE) is Sandoval's temporary fill-in.
Morbid Angel's as-yet-untitled new album will undoubtedly begin with the letter I, keeping with the band's tradition of naming their albums in alphabetical order beginning with 1989's Altars Of Madness through 2003's Heretic.
