(hed)pe have been added to Papa Roach's Zippo Hot Tour, which gets underway in November. The outing, which is sponsored by Zippo Manufacturing Company, will also feature the winner of an in-progress battle of the bands that Zippo has been conducting throughout the year.
"We are so pumped on going this Papa Roach tour! Those guys are so down to earth, and over the years we have played together a bunch," says (hed)pe frontman Jared Gomes. "They could have gotten anybody to go on tour with them, so we are stoked they invited us. Their fans are cool as fuck, and the two bands together will be tearing shit up."
(hed)pe recently released their fifth album, "Back 2 Base X," on Suburban Noize Records. The album was recorded "old school" with drums, bass and guitars being tracked while the band performed live in the studio. Since the album's release, the band has toured with the likes of the Kottonmouth Kings, Wicked Wisdom and Mower.
The album's lead single "Beware Do We Go" is currently climbing up Active Rock charts with spins on popular stations like WRIF in Detroit, KUPD in Phoenix, and WAAF in Boston. The song is also receiving strong airplay from WIIL in Chicago KQXR in Boise, while KXXR in Minneapolis, MN has spun the track 199 times. Currently the track "So It Be" is in steady rotation on SIRIUS Satellite Radio's Faction channel.
(hed)pe is currently on a European tour with labelmates OPM and Weapons through the middle of November, until joining the Zippo Hot Tour along with Papa Roach and Bullets & Octane.
