Members of Mayhem arrested

Mayhem (2006) De Telegraaf is reporting that police arrested members of Norwegian black metallers MAYHEM and their crew Monday morning after the entire contents of a hotel room near the Spoorlaan in Tilburg, Holland was destroyed.

The group had given a performance on Sunday in a cafe in Tilburg and had booked a night at Hotel Central. Monday morning an employee of the hotel found a big mess. Plants were thrown on the street, mirrors, a sink were broken and strips in the bathroom were pulled off and demolished. The beds and television were destroyed and walls were covered in spots.

The hotel estimates the damage at least 5000 euro. The men, aged 21 to 45 years, are from Netherlands, Norway, Finland and France. The suspects remain tied to a compensation of the damage dealt.

As previously reported, Mayhem are confirmed for the 2010 installment and 10th anniversary of the Inferno Metal Festival Norway which will take place in Oslo, Norway from March 31st - April 3rd.

Other bands announced for festival include NACHTMYSTIUM, FINNTROLL, TAAKE and THE KOVENANT.

In 2010, The Inferno Metal Festival will gather international media and music industry, artists and fans at the festival hotel Royal Christiania for conferences, expo and happenings. Rockefeller and John Dee are the festivals main venues with club venues at Rock In, BL, Garage, Victoria og Revolver Four days, 45 bands and music as good as hell.
