The Gauntlet: Guns N' Roses Metal News

New Guns N' Roses cover = fail

Guns N Roses - Chinese Democracy Best Buy has revealed the first of two covers for the long awaited Chinese Democracy from the Axl Rose Band, aka Guns N' Roses (can you really call them GNR at this point?). The first cover looks like they snapped a picture of the bike the Wicked Witch of the West rode in the Wizard of Oz.

wicked witch bike

Is this the best they can do with 13 years of prep time? Are we all being scammed into thinking the album release is near? Only time will tell.

About the cover art .. It is not "the best they can in 13 years". The photo has a story behind it. Axl was in China and saw that very same bike and graffiti on a wall. This is a real photo of a real graffiti, not a creation. It was in 2002. He told about it in the infamous 2002 HongKong concert, and told back then, that this was going to be the album cover. It was set up, because axl thought it was kinda funny to find a GNR graffiti in the middle of nowhere china... and the Tracklist has been revealed !! http://www.gunsnroses.us/news/spip.php?article189 Finally ! 1. Chinese Democracy 2. Scraped 3. Shackler’s Revenge 4. Street Of Dreams 5. If The World 6. Better 7. This I Love 8. There Was A Time 9. Riad N’ The Bedovins 10. Sorry 11. I.R.S. 12. Catcher 13. Madagascar 14. Prostitute refused,

Along the lines of Billy Corgan's 1999 collaboration with Mike Garson on the score for the religious horror film Stigmata, the following year Korn's Jonathan Davis collaborated with composer Richard Gibbs on the score for the film adaptation of Anne Rices's novel Queen of the Damned.
