Slash Performs 'Sweet Child O' Mine' For The First Time In A Decade

Slash Rocker Slash performed the solo to Guns N' Roses anthem "Sweet Child O' Mine" for the first time in more than a decade when he stopped by the Rock 'n Roll Fantasy Camp in Los Angeles last week.

The guitarist told stunned wannabe rockers taking tips from this year's camp advisers Roger Daltrey, Jack Bruce, Joe Walsh and Vince Neil when he agreed to "have a go" at performing the solo.

The nervous rock star said, "I haven't played it since probably the last Guns N' Roses show, and that was in 1996. You just don't go back and play your songs unless you're doing them in concert."

    Hardcore Annal Sects

Although they reinvented themselves as a lethal thrash metal band in the '90s, Pantera were originally glam/pop metallists — as proven by their '80s albums Metal Magic, Projects in the Jungle, and I Am the Night, as well as the stage names the members used during this period (bassist Rex Smith was known as Rex Rocker and guitarist Dimebag Darrell was known as Diamond Darrell).
