Judas Priest guitarist to turn estate into golf course

Judas Priest star K.K. Downing is to turn the Shropshire estate he bought in 1985 into a top new golf course.

The guitarist bought stately Astbury Hall near Bridgnorth over 20 years ago and set about becoming a dairy farmer, but now he has bigger plans for his land.

He says, "I've played golf all over the world on some of the best golf courses and I want a course to match those. I'm aiming at golfers who are passionate about the game and appreciate five-star golf and a five-star clubhouse."
