The Gauntlet: Yakuza Metal News

New Yakuza live video available

Yakuza Chicago's Yakuza has posted a live video on the band's MySpace page for "Back To The Mountain." The 9-minute epic, album-closing track is taken from the recently released Samsara, a record that has been receiving praise from metal and mainstream press alike. Justin Baron (Pelican, High on Fire) of Redworks Films shot the video live in late 2005 at the Double Door in Chicago. Baron is also previously responsible for the video to "Chicago Typewriter" off Yakuza's 2002's album Way of the Dead.

Currently on tour with 3 across the US, Yakuza will team up with both Deadbird and Ringworm for runs through the country in April. More dates are being booked for summer touring plans, and will be announced upon confirmation.

Prior to Led Zeppelin, a supergroup consisting of Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, Keith Moon, and Jeff Beck was planned, but contractual red tape killed off the band. Although they recorded a few things during a single day recording session in 1966, "Beck's Bolero" is the only one to have seen the light of day.
