The Gauntlet: Yakuza Metal News

YAKUZA announces new tour dates, CMJ appearance

Yakuza Chicago's prog-minded metallers YAKUZA have confirmed a handful of tour dates, including shows with Jesu, frontman Bruce Lamont's solo shows, as well as an appearance at this week's CMJ Music Marathon in New York City.

YAKUZA continues to support the band's latest release, 'Transmutations,' which is the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed 'Samsara,' the band's Prosthetic Records debut. Two tracks, "Egocide" and "Praying For Asteroids" from 'Transmutations' are now available on the band's MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/yakuza), while several clips from Gearwire featuring interviews and tutorials from Lamont's micing techniques, saxophone and clarinet sounds in heavy metal, loops and effects and more can be found here (http://youtube.com/profile_videos?user=ProstheticRecords).

UK-based label Eyes of Sound will be releasing YAKUZA's previous album, 'Samsara,' in a limited, 180 gram gatefold colored vinyl edition, featuring an exclusive remix of "Back To The Mountain." Pre-orders are available here, and the vinyl will be available October 20 worldwide.
