Metallica outsells Glasvegas in the UK

Metallica's Death Magnetic has outsold Glasvegas' debut album by almost 20,000 units to secure the number 1 spot on Billboard in the UK.

Despite only officially going on sale on Friday, the American metal band's album topped the UK charts, selling 75,164 copies compared to Glasvegas' 56,387.

Death Magnetic went on sale worldwide on Sept 12.
