SCALE THE SUMMIT to enter the studio for Prosthetic Records debut

Houston's instrumental quartet SCALE THE SUMMIT hit the studio today to begin tracking the band's Prosthetic Records debut. Due in early 2009, the record will consist of all-new songs and is the follow-up to the band's 2007 self-released debut, 'Monument,' and fans can expect a series of in-studio blog and video updates covering the progress of the recording of SCALE THE SUMMIT's new music.

"Writing is complete for our next album, and I have to say this is some of the best material we have ever written!" guitarist Chris Letchford says. "We have been working hard on this album for a good six months now and we are really excited to get to work on it in the studio. We are set to enter Nut House Recordings on Aug 29th in New Jersey to start tracking and the title for this nice group of jams will be 'Carving Desert Canyons.' Now...you all can be in suspense for studio updates, video, shows, touring, and of course some killer new music!"

SCALE THE SUMMIT has tapped seasoned photographer Tom Kilty to personify the band's sound through the 'Carving Desert Canyons' artwork which promises to be in-depth.
