The Gauntlet: Age Of Silence Metal News

WINDS, AGE OF SILENCE year-end updates

Age Of Silence Andy Winter (Winds, Age of Silence) has posted an extensive year-end summary on the official Winds forum located at www.theendrecords.com

The main points from the posting are as follows:

"Winds are still working on the new album. Andy says they have now sifted through the "terra-quads of music" that was recorded, and the guitars, drums and vocals for the album are now finalized. He plans to re-record his piano parts before taking the album to mix some time in the spring.

The possibility of an additional guest appearance on the forthcoming Winds album by Dan Swan? has been discussed. Dan's performance on two songs has already been confirmed, and the possibility for a third song is, according to Andy, "definitely a possibility" at this point.

Andy mentions that Age of Silence wants to record the new album soon, but will have to wait until Winds is finished before they can pursue that avenue. As previously announced, the songwriting for the new upcoming Age of Silence CD has been completed for quite some time, so it is just a matter of finding time for recording.

The yet untitled solo project by Andy is also slowly taking shape. Hellhammer has recorded drums for 4 tracks and will do another 5 tracks some time in the new-year. Andy is getting in touch with old friends to fill possible vocalist spots for the project.

And last but not least, Andy wishes everyone a happy holiday season!"

    Hardcore Annal Sects

As Nirvana's Nevermind album was breaking nationally, the group was invited to appear on MTV's Saturday night heavy metal show Headbanger's Ball. Pretending to take the show's title literally, Kurt Cobain went on the air dressed in a ruffly pink ball gown
