Iron Maiden Drummer Hired As 'Spiritual Guru' For European Ryder Cup Side

Golfer Nick Faldo, captain of this years European Ryder Cup Side, is keen to hire Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain as a member of his backroom staff at this year's competition.

Faldo is said to have expressed his interest during an interview at last weekend's British Open in Liverpool.

He told the BBC that McBrain, the band's rummer, would be able to motivate his players ahead of play.

This year's Ryder Cup will take place at Valahalla Golf Club in Kentucky. The European team will once again be defending the trophy.
