PITCHSHIFTER, RAGING SPEEDHORN and more added to Damnation Festival

Pitchshifter UK metallers PITCHSHIFTER will add their brand of 'guitar-laden digital chaos' to the Damnation Festival 2008 line-up in a rare appearance on home soil.

The English crossover quintet will headline the Terrorizer Stage, joining a stunning bill which includes Carcass, Napalm Death, Sigh and The Berzerker and Taint.

Meanwhile sludge stalwarts RAGING SPEEDHORN will play their last ever show, bowing out at Damnation Festival 2008.

After ten years, playing some of the biggest stages across the globe supporting everyone from Black Sabbath to Rammstein, the Corby bruisers will orchestrate one last aural brawl before calling it a day.

They will be joined this year RAMESSES and their crushing doom soundscapes, Welsh death merchants DESECRATION and rising post-metallers, LATITUDES at the event on Saturday, November 22, at Leeds University Union.

Festival director Gavin McInally said: "We are proud to host Pitchshifter at Damnation Festival for a rare UK show - it promises to be something special!"

"It's not often we'll re-book a band, nevermind a hat-trick of appearances, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity of letting the mighty Raging Speedhorn bow out, without a fitting stage.

"They have been at the forefront of heavy UK metal for the past ten years and it's a honour to have them play their last ever show at Damnation Festival.

"Ramesses, Desecration and Latitudes are three more reasons why no self respecting metal fan should have to look overseas for real quality. We're looking forward to seeing all three in action this year."

Following a sell out of the first batch of tickets, the remainder of tickets for Damnation Festival will be on sale from tomorrow morning (9am, Thursday, July 10) priced at £29 (subject to booking fee).
