Locomotive Releases Communic's "Payment of Existence"

Communic Locomotive Records will release the third album of Norway's Communic, Payment Of Existence, in the U.S. on July 29. Guitarist/Vocalist Oddleif Stensland, bassist Erik Mortensen and drummer Tor Atle Andersen are excited about stateside audiences getting to experience the kind of power, melody, intelligent lyrics and highly progressive musical approach that this dynamic trio is capable of.

"This time," says Oddleif, "we believe that we have created our most diverse and heavy stuff ever, but it is still Communic all the way. It has been two years since the release of Waves Of Visual Decay and the energy from touring and live gigging has left a few marks on this new album. The production by Jacob Hansen is crisp and fresh, and takes our sound to a new level, while the artwork by Jan Yrlund just completes it all as it fits the theme and atmosphere of this album perfectly."

With songs up to nine minutes in length, and the melding of such sub-genres as Power Metal, Prog-Rock, Thrash and even Doom, Payment Of Existence is that perfect hybrid of chops and vision, resulting in a stylistically unique and challenging work that defies expectation.

Oddleif and Tor started Communic in 2003 when they both still toiled in Scariot. What was originally perceived to be a side-project soon occupied most of their time as their Conspiracy In Mind debut landed in 2005.

Now, with the release of Payment Of Existence, Communic has come full-circle, and is ready to reap the rewards of its commitment, hard work, and stunning sound.
