STONE TEMPLE PILOTS CLOSE-OUT DAY ONE OF "ROCK ON THE RANGE"

More than 30,000 music fans gathered as Stone Temple Pilots wrapped up day one of the second annual ROCK ON THE RANGE music festival in Columbus, Ohio last night (May 17). Marking their first show in seven years, the band--Scott Weiland (vocals), brothers Robert (bass guitar, vocals) and Dean DeLeo (guitar) and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion)--performed an electrifying 75-minute, 17-song set of material that included STP classics "Vasoline," "Sour Girl," "Plush, "Interstate Love Song" and encored with "Dead and Bloated" to a thunderous roar of applause.

Day one of ROCK ON THE RANGE was also highlighted by performances from Disturbed, Staind, Serj Tankian and Killswitch Engage, among others. Day two will feature sets from thirteen additional acts including Kid Rock, 3 Doors Down and Papa Roach. A limited number of general admission tickets are still available for Sunday's show.
