The Gauntlet: Aiden Metal News

Jake Davison Recalls AIDEN Tour Bus Fire

Aiden While the fast-rising Seattle band Aiden is quickly turning into one of the hottest groups around, the band’s members got a little too close to the fire during a recent UK road trip. Although drummer Jake Davison was sleeping at the time, it was an experience he’s not likely to forget anytime soon.

"We were over in the UK touring" said Davison, "It was early, about four or five in the morning. I guess a piece of paper got caught up underneath the bus; it got caught on a hot pipe or something. It lit on fire and shot flames through the bottom, where we have our gear."

Luckily, the band managed to escape the fire unscathed. "The whole bus filled up with smoke" the drummer said excitedly, "It could have been bad, but we caught it. It burnt my drums and my heads and somehow I still managed to sleep through it."

"Nightmare Anatomy," the group's second album broke sales records for label Victory Records upon its release in October 2005.

The label is set to release the band's latest album, "Conviction," on August 28th, 2007.

The New Jersey punk trio Buzzkill was originally known as Butthead when they formed in 1990, but had to change their name two years later when MTV's Beavis & Butthead became a massive success. Ironically, MTV also had a grunge/alt-metal show called Buzzkill, which aired during the mid-'90s.
