DOUBLE BLIND MUSIC SIGNS SPARKS THE RESCUE

Double Blind Music (home to 32 Leaves, Opus Dai, and SIGNALtheESCAPE) signs Sparks The Rescue. A fresh sound equal parts screamo, post-hardcore and just plain rock ‘n' roll coming from a group of guys from Portland, Maine with an average age of 19. Formed in 1999 as Pozer with a lineup including Toby (guitar/vox), Nate (drums) and Ben (bass/vox), the band played more than 200 shows in Maine and New Hampshire. Before high school was over they added Marty (synth/vox), Patrick (guitar/vox), and eventually Alex (lead vocals). With a fully fleshed band and a new direction, they changed the band name to Sparks The Rescue and began playing throughout New England. And they have not looked back since...

Sparks The Rescue has shared the stage with Hawthorne Heights, Just Surrender, As Tall As Lions, Dave Melillo, Roses Are Red, A Change of Pace, Showbread, Chiodos, A Static Lullaby, Saosin, Boys Night Out, Stretch Arm Strong, Vendetta Red, Strung Out, Emanuel, The Static Age, Human Flight Committee, Glory Of This, and plenty more! STR have tremendous stage presence and an electrifying live show that never fails to win new fans and keep the old ones coming back.
