Study shows heavy metal fans are at ease with themselves

Fans of classical music and jazz are creative, pop lovers are hardworking and, despite the stereotypes, heavy metal listeners are gentle, creative types who are at ease with themselves.

So says Professor Adrian North of Scotland's Heriot-Watt University who has been studying the links between people's personalities and their choice of music.

"People often define their sense of identity through their musical taste, wearing particular clothes, going to certain pubs, and using certain types of slang," North said.

The greatest thing is that metalheads can always find a common ground with each other.Even you've never met the particular person,just by the shirt that they are wearing you can strike up a conversation.Metalheads are more inclined to get along and just talk music,rap fans are too busy worrying about their grillz or whatever the hell.Shooting at each other,more like it.I'm proud to be a metalhead.Hail metal!!!

he's right actually. i feel much better around metallers. at least the real ones. the weird little -core kid scene cunts can suck it.
