The Gauntlet: Metal News

Bearathon calls it quits

Erie, Pennsylvania's Bearathon has broken up. Here's a statement from the band:

"Bearathon is done. TJ felt it was time to focus his energy on other things. Rick and I [Mike] will be doing the same by starting a new band. It's in the works.

"We still have one more Bearathon release to get out though, which is a discography called Dead Weight. It's two new songs and a complete collection of all old material. These will be available soon through Paper Box Records.

"We are working out details on a last show, and it will definitely be a house show somewhere in western PA. At the show we will have the Dead Weight release as well as t-shirts and older EP's for next to nothing.

"Thanks to all of our friends, old and new. We've met some amazing people doing this, and with the new band we intend to see you all again very soon."
