The Gauntlet: Metal News

Season of Mist signs Cantata Sangui

Season of Mist is happy to inform you that Finnish act CANTATA SANGUI just joined the label's roster. The band's debut album, entitled "On Rituals and Correspondence in constructed Realities", is slated for a late 2008 release. Here's singer Anna's comment on this new collaboration:

"We are happy to release our debut album through Season of Mist, known to support artistic freedom and having the legacy of standing by nonconformist acts. It is great to have a partner lubricating the cog-wheels of Leviathan for us to keep on twisting and sweetly corrupting the conformist genre boundaries with the tentacles of this lunacy sung in blood."
You can already listen to "We'll have it on us", off "On Rituals and Correspondence in constructed Realities".

Nirvana's Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic planned on recording an all-acoustic blues album with Screaming Trees singer Mark Lanegan in the late '80s, but the project never reached fruition.
